F450 AZ ER430 is a neutral fused stainless steel flux designed for submerged arc welding (SAW) with ER430 ferritic stainless steel wire. This combination provides excellent arc stability, smooth and clean bead appearance, and low spatter levels. The flux ensures precise chromium retention, low silicon pickup, and superior corrosion resistance in the weld metal. It produces a dense, porosity-free deposit with uniform mechanical properties and fine slag detachability.
Applications:
F450 AZ ER430 is widely used for welding ferritic stainless steels containing approximately 17% chromium, typically employed in chemical equipment, exhaust systems, heat exchangers, and architectural components. It is ideal for applications that require oxidation and corrosion resistance under moderate temperatures. The combination is suitable for both automatic and semi-automatic SAW processes, ensuring high-quality welds in sheet and plate fabrications.

F450 PZ ER430 is a basic agglomerated stainless steel flux developed for use with ER430 ferritic stainless wire. It provides a stable arc, deep penetration, and clean slag removal, producing a smooth, uniform weld bead with consistent chromium and ferrite control. The flux minimizes carbon pickup and offers excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance of the weld metal, even in multi-pass welding conditions.
Applications:
F450 PZ ER430 is recommended for fabrication and repair of stainless steel components used in automotive exhaust systems, furnaces, heat-resistant ducts, and chemical plant equipment. It is particularly suited for ferritic stainless steels operating in mildly corrosive or oxidizing environments.
