ER70S-6 is a copper-coated solid wire designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW / MIG) and Gas Shielded Arc Welding (MAG) of mild and low alloy steels. It contains higher levels of manganese and silicon deoxidizers, which provide superior arc stability, excellent wetting action, and clean weld bead appearance, even on rusty, oily, or mill-scaled surfaces.

This wire delivers high deposition rates, low spatter, and smooth bead finish, making it ideal for both manual and automatic welding operations using CO₂ or Argon-CO₂ gas mixtures. The weld deposits offer good impact toughness and sound mechanical properties.
